About the event

In this meaningful class, children will create their own Thankful Tree as a way to reflect on what they are grateful for. Using natural elements, we’ll guide kids in expressing their appreciation for the world around them through creativity and connection. This activity helps foster a sense of gratitude and mindfulness in young explorers.

In Touch With Nature was designed around eight key skills children need to thrive: communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, adaptability, empathy, leadership, and resilience. Equipping children with these soft skills empowers them to navigate life's challenges and pursue their passions confidently. This series will allow children and caregivers the opportunity to unplug and get into nature to build connection and quality experiences together. Classes are designed for children ages 4-8 years old with a caregiver.  Be sure to bring a comfy towel or blanket to sit on.

Meet your Teacher:

Jamie Rottura

I have always expressed a passion for education, advocacy and the environment.  While pursuing my Master's Degree in Environmental Education (EE),  I was given the amazing opportunity to work at an EE center, where I specialized in teaching children the value of exploration in nature.  My love for that value has expanded since I had my first child in 2014. I am excited to share my skills and the gift of nature play in my community.
