How Our Teen Opportunity Works

  • Parents may drop off their teen/ tween or they may drive themselves.

  • Teens and tweens must be responsible and able to follow the directions of others.

  • Exchange of service would be 6 hours per week of work around the farm.

  • Work could be working with the animals feeding, milking, cleaning or moving them, working with portable electric fencing, learning care of the animals and land.

  • Commitment would need to be 6-8 weeks at a time.

  • Hours are flexible but “chore” hours are mostly around 8am and 4pm daily, 7 days a week.

  • Longer commitments available if there is interest in the financial aspects of farming, educating or independent care of the farm.

  • Volunteer hours will be signed off upon request.
